SUBJ: INVASION PLANNING

THE RAPID DEPLOYMENT OF RUSSIAN MILITARY COMPONENTS INTO THE CRIMEAN PENINSULA, ALMOST OVERNIGHT, INDICATES AN INVASION THAT MAY HAVE BEEN IN THE PLANNING PIPELINE FOR QUITE SOME TIME. CONSIDER THE INDICATORS

1.) INITIAL TAKEOVER OF THE PORTS BY COMMANDOS

2.) NO INSIGNIAS, PATCHES--THE LOGOS WERENT REMOVED OVERNIGHT AND THE APPARENT LACK OF ANY FIELD MARKINGS ACROSS THE BOARD, ON UNIFORMS, VEHICLES, INDICATE THE OPERATION WAS PLANNED WITH PRECISION

3.) CONVOYS ARE CROSSING THE KERCH STRAITS AT WILL FOLLOWING THE SEIZURE OF THE FERRY TERMINAL BY COMMANDOS.  THE CONVOYS ARE DEPLOYMENT READY, REPLETE WITH MOBILE FIELD STOVES, AS OBSERVED BY REPORTERS TAILING THE CONVOYS, BEING TOWED BEHIND THE TRUCKS. ALONG WITH THE TRUCKS AND APCS ARE FIELD HOSPITAL VEHICLES SO THE RUSSIANS ANTICIPATE A FIGHT SOONER OR LATER.

4.) ALL OF THIS POINTS TO WHAT IS COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS "CHATTER" BY THE INTEL AGENCIES.THE MOVEMENT WOULD NOT BE DIFFICULT TO DETECT CONSIDERING THE ADVANCED MONITORING NETWORK THE WEST HAS IN PLACE BOTH IN SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY AND SNOOPING CAPABILITY.

5.) CONSIDERING THE WEST HAS BEEN OUTED AS BEING OVERZEALOUS OF LATE IN ITS ABILITY TO SPY NOT JUST ON ITS OWN CITIZENS, BUT ON FOREIGN NATIONS AS WELL, IT SEEMS RATHER MYSTERIOUS THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO ADMISSION BY THE US OR ANY OF ITS ALLIED COUNTERPARTS OF PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF THE IMPENDING INVASION AND OCCUPATION OF THE CRIMEAN PENINSULA BY A RUSSIAN  BLITZKRIEG.

RUSSIA TRASHES OSCE AS "TWO-FACED"

SUBJ: OBSERVERS MAY HAVE HIDDEN AGENDA

THIS FROM RIA.RU

MOSCOW, March 8 (RIA Novosti) – The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe is showing double standards in its approach to the current political crisis in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday.
“Some OSCE members and executive bodies have acted in the worst traditions of double standards while dealing with the situation in Ukraine,” the ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, “the poorly disguised attempts to overlook the crimes committed in Kiev and western Ukraine are accompanied by strenuous efforts to monitor closely the actions of legitimate authorities in Crimea” aimed at determining the future of the region.

In order to make the OSCE involvement in Ukraine effective the organization must, first and foremost, condemn the acts of violence committed by the so-called “Maidan activists,” recognize the events in Kiev as an unlawful state coup and start work on facilitating a reconciliation between political forces in Ukraine in line with the February 21 agreement to form a coalition government, the ministry said.
The Foreign Ministry’s human rights envoy, Konstantin Dolgov, said earlier on Friday that new Kiev leaders and their Western backers must react to the documented evidence of atrocities committed by far-right and neo-Fascist forces in Ukraine.
“We continue to gather this evidence, and it is of vital importance that these documented facts [of violence] prompt a proper response from de-facto authorities in Kiev and, certainly, from the western countries that support and encourage them,” Dolgov said.

Canada expels nine Russian military men

Nine Russian military men have been expelled from Canada, where they took part in military exercises, as the Canadian authorities condemn "the military invasion of Russia in the Crimea," CTV News reports.

The servicemen learned the news on Thursday. They were given 24 hours to finish their business in the country and leave it.

Six of them served in the town of Saint-John, Quebec, where they studied English and French. Two others were a part of the training program at a Canadian army base in Gagetown. Another military man taught Russian to Canadian soldiers in Gatineau, Quebec.
A few days ago, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced that all bilateral actions between the armies of Russia and Canada were suspended.

The country's authorities thus protest against what they position as an "invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine." It goes about the statement from Vladimir Putin, when he said that he did not exclude a possibility of deploying a small contingent of Russian troops in the Crimea to protect the local Russian-speaking population. Putin added, though, there he did not see the need to deploy the troops yet.

The pictures are taken by the Ukrainian journalists Oleksandr Albinskiy and Oleksii Simakov from TV channel STB.
Wednesday managed both to sneak through Russian roadblocks and filming life on board the vessels. They appeared to get food and water for sailors.
The two are among the few Ukrainian journalists have managed to get past the militia roadblocks to the Crimea with television equipment intact.

LATEST REPORT FROM CANADIAN BUR:

A team of international military observers attempting to enter Crimea say they were denied entry for a third time Friday.
The team of unarmed observers were sent to Crimea March 5 by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, but were blocked from accessing the occupied territory twice by unknown groups Thursday, an an OSCE spokesman said.
After the group, which includes two Canadians, left the southwestern Ukrainian city of Kherson Friday morning to make a third attempt at entering Crimea, they were denied again, the spokesman said.
“The group left Kherson at 10:00 local time this morning and arrived at the checkpoint around Chonhar in the northeast of Crimea around [1:30 pm] local time,” said Shiv Sharma. After passing the first checkpoint manned by Ukrainians, Sharma, said, the team was denied entry at a second checkpoint.

Sharma said the group may attempt another entry “that will involve them driving down a very thin strip of land off Crimea’s east coast – and trying to enter from the southeast of Crimea.” The Arabat Spit is a 112km-long strip of land separating salty lagoons from the Sea of Azov."

1.) BLOCKING INTERNATIONAL OBSERVERS FROM ENTERING THE PENINSULA
2.) CONFISCATING NEWSGEAR FROM INTERNATIONAL MEDIA IN-COUNTRY TO REPORT THE TAKEOVER
3.) NO DISPLAY OF ANY MILITARY INSIGNIA, A MOVE THAT COULD BE CONSTRUED AS "TERRORISM" ANDACTING AS SPIES IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY.

AND NOW THE WORST INSULT OF ALL, SPITTING AT REPORTERS.

THIS WAS FIRST NOTED TODAY IN AN ARTICLE FROM THE WASHINGTON POST: (THE FEODOSIYA-SIMFEROPOL CONVOY)

"In the rear of the vehicles, heavily armed soldiers could be seen, though none appeared to have identifying badges or insignia. Soldiers spat at the reporters following them."

THIS BEHAVIOR IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL REPRESENTING A FORMAL NATION AND THOSE RESPONSIBLE NEED TO BE REPRIMANDED.

IN ADDITION, THEIR COMMANDING OFFICERS NEED ISSUE IMMEDIATELY ORDERS THAT NO FURTHER SPITTING AT REPORTERS WILL BE ALLOWED, WITH A REDUCTION IN PAY GRADE AND FINE POSSIBLE FOR THOSE HELD ACCOUNTABLE...
